Privacy Policy

WordQuest: Spelling Adventure ("WordQuest", "the app") is made for children. This policy explains, in plain words, what the app does with information. The short version: it collects none.

What the app collects

Nothing. WordQuest does not ask for a name, an email address, a photo, a location, or any other personal information, from a child or from a parent. There is no account to create and no sign-in.

What stays on the device

Your child's progress (which part of the story they have reached, quests completed, Spelling Ranks earned) and the settings you choose (narration, sound effects, music, ambient sound) are saved only on the iPhone or iPad, in the app's own storage. They never leave the device. Deleting the app deletes them.

What the app does not do

• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No analytics or tracking software of any kind.
• No third-party software development kits.
• No chat, messaging, social features or user-generated content.
• No camera, microphone, contacts or location access.
• No links out of the app that a child can follow.

Purchases

The first quests of WordQuest are free. The whole adventure is unlocked with one purchase made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; WordQuest never sees your card details or your Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction. Purchases are placed behind a parental gate so a child cannot make one alone.

Children's privacy

WordQuest is designed to comply with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, the EU GDPR and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by the simplest possible route: it collects no personal information from anyone. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to access, correct or delete, and nothing is shared with anyone.

The website

wordquestland.com is a static website. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. If that changes, this page will say so first.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it does with information, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Any change that involved collecting personal information would require a new version of the app and a fresh review by Apple.
